Hey everyone I am new to freelance world, recently got an opportunity to build ecommerce website for a client but don’t know how much should I quote. Would be glad if anyone can provide suggestions (Indian standards pricing)
There are a lot of factors at play there to influence the pricing.
– Are you building the marketing pages as well?
– using a premium theme or custom theme?
– any custom modifications to the default WooCommerce setup? IE – custom shipping options, unique integrations, any special product variations?
– need to customize any of the default emails that go out? Order completion, order acceptance, etc
– if you need custom integrations, will you be purchasing the plugins (if any) or will your client?
Those first few points can drastically change your pricing, but it’ll ultimately come down to how much you think each key feature of the development process will take and what your cost per hours is.
E-commerce is an easy way to get feature scope creep, so you will want to detail your deliverables the best you can. That’ll also help you feel more confident about your pricing.
