Making use of Simple Custom CSS and JS plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-js).
The goal is to make dark the code text appearing on bbPress forum pages such as this page: https://progannum.com/forums/topic/comparing-list-manipulation-in-wolfram-language-vs-python/
The above not making any change. It will help if someone can guide the correct way to add code.

If you can’t find were it’s originates from, why don’t use “!important”? Yeah, it’s not the best solution, it isn’t pretty, but you shouldn’t need a plugin for this.

You don’t need a plugin to add custom CSS to your site. If you’re not adding it to the theme, then you can simply add it within the CSS Panel in the Customizer.
