How to change the image container color

[ad_1]

Hi all! So I’m trying to insert a portrait image in my post. While it looks fine on WordPress, it looks distorted or stretched on preview. I changed the Aspect Ratio to “Tall”, and while the image no longer looks distorted, it doesn’t show the entire image (the top part is cut off) because it has been resized to a landscape image.

A workaround I can live with is to change the Aspect Ratio to “Original” and to select Scale > Contain. Now the image is not distorted and shows in its entirety, but how do I change the grey background of the container to white?

I would really appreciate it if you have any advice on this or how to prevent the image from getting distorted. Thanks!
