How to download a website from web server to my local server on my laptop?

[ad_1]

I am learning WordPress by doing a real project. I just installed a WordPress site using from the Cpanel. Then I installed WAMP on my local machine. Now I want to download the full website on my server using a software recommended by you) or even manually. I know the database, username etc. a lot of metrics might conflict so I am not creating same website on my local server. Therefore what do you recommend? How can I download the complete website from the host to my local PC and then modify it and again push it back to the host using Filezilla (or any other software recommended by you)?

I know I might be doing the first thing from last! I should have installed WP website on my PC and then push it to the server (probably). But I am curious to know if I can do it in reverse order too. Lets say a client’s requirement is changing design and some functionalities of his site without interrupting the visitors from 8AM to 12PM. In that case I can work on the website during daytime and once done push it at night. But as the client’s website is already hosted on a server I need to download it first. In that case how can I do this?

Thank you everyone for supporting me a lot in this subreddit.

  1. You can use ‘All in one wp migration ‘ plugin to export the website and use the same plugin on local env to import the website.
