Hello, I am looking for help with single-post templates and creating posts with them. I am using Astra theme and Elementor Pro to design single-post templates.
I created a single-post template in Elementor Pro, and assigned it to a specific category (Category X). I designed the entire template to look how I want every blog post in Category X to look. It includes headings, text paragraphs, lists, images, etc. I then just put in Lorem Ipsum text as filler text throughout my template.
What I want to do is… Create a blog post of Category X with that specific template, then edit the different sections and replace the Lorem Ipsum text with the relevant text for my post.
My issue is this… When I create a post, I assign it to Category X, then click “edit with Elementor”. It opens in Elementor with the entire page like my template, but I can’t edit the specific post. When I try to edit the page my only option is to “Edit Single Post”, which then edits the template itself.
Any help with telling my what I’m doing wrong? I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am supposed to do. Thank you in advance!!
