How to edit the home page

Hi everyone,

How do you edit the home page on WordPress?

When I click on it a different page appears from the home page that I built. In the past I’ve always used the customizer which somehow brings up the actual page and not this other not real page.

And in the past I’ve struggled many times to figure out how to get past it. Still doing that as I don’t remember exactly how it worked before. Hoping to get past this waste of time so I can make more progress with improving the site.

I’m editing from the Brave browser in my android phone at the moment.

Any insight here is much appreciated!
