How to fix this?

[ad_1]

I’m helping a friend with one of his websites, he granted me a role as an Administrator so I can make changes all over the website. Lately, we came across a problem that we weren’t able to find a solution to.

The problem is whenever we try to add a new plugin, a 403 error appears saying we’re forbidden from accessing that page.

We suspected the problem might have something to do with conflicted plugins so we deactivated all plugins and then tried to add a new one, the problem still accured.

Any ideas?

NB: My friend is an administrator too.

  1. As you did, deactivate all plugins then reactivate 1 by 1 until the error occurs then check that plugin’s changelog etc.
It might also be a conflict with the theme or permalinks.
Deactivate all plugins, switch to the default theme then reset permalinks, reactivating plugins 1 by 1.
