I have been doing wordpress development for past two years now and I am working full-time for a company. But how can I get freelance clients for wordpress? I want to make some extra income besides my job. PS: upwork and fiverr seems overcrowded and I don't find it suitable for begineer freelancers.

Easy dawgie!
Just last few a group of data/website and you want that topic and an audience to come and they will do just yeah it’s like SCO. You know you learn the tricks of the tree. It’s like digital marketing. I did many years of it. I’m on the business and I did. Everything was goodside
Network with friends and do cool projects for free. Eventually people will contact you.
Like animals? Rebuild an animal shelter website for free and put a link to your site in the footer. Endless free publicity associated to a good cause.

Literally the same way any business gets any customers/clients. There’s nothing inherently different about client acquisition for a web developer than there is for, say…a deck builder, or massage therapist, or whatever.
Network with people and sell yourself. Word of mouth is huge, which means getting started is the hart part. Once you get the ball rolling it’s easier to grow. Setup a website for yourself to collect leads that will eventually come organically, and gives you a place to send people you are networking with. And for people to send referrals.
I would recommend using social media and cold emailing/calling. There is also this app called [Webleadr](https://webleadr.com) where you can get web design clients easy and fast using a world map, filters, and many other features in between. For example: get barbers or dentists around your local area that do not have a website for their business, and contact them with just one click of a button. There are many additional features, such as identifying businesses with “fake” websites—like Facebook Pages masquerading as official sites—and viewing these as potential clients who might need a real website. Other features include exporting business data to CSV, auto-syncing this data across all your devices, and more.
The pricing is just €9 per 80 businesses. Let’s say that out of these 80 businesses, only 30 of them have no website. And let’s be pessimistic and assume that, on average, only two of them want to have a website developed by you. If two websites developed cost €1400, then out of that €1400, you only deducted a mere €9. This seems like an excellent deal. Of course, like mentioned before in the features section, there are more nifty features to get web design clients easily besides getting companies without websites. The €9 you spend makes it easier and faster for you to get web design clients effortlessly without the manual hassle of finding potential clients.
Outside of those platforms, you can try to get clients through referrals from friends or by creating your own website showcasing your projects and portfolio, and then marketing that.
Sell. If you can’t you’re going to have a hard time landing clients unless you have a network feeding your clients.
