Hi r/Wordpress
I’m a fullstack web developer without any experience in wordpress searching for some answers.
That being said, I’m currently using bricks and have to admit that I have complete freedom to create anything I might need as I can add custom css & javascript. Now they lately had a security breach & a website of mine got hacked and well… trust issues hello 👋🏽.
So I figured out that by using Gutenberg I will avoid a lot of future issues including best possible compatibility & low maintentance cost for the cost of flexibility.
And here is my question, how can I reach mediocore and maximum flexibility with Gutenberg?
For me mediocore flexibility is the abillity to create custom layouts without any coding skills, where maximum flexiblity is the possibillity to add custom css, js & php for each block if required.
Let me know how you handle Gutenberg on simple & more complex projects!

Gutenberg is good in its original concept but is a nightmare in terms of execution and UX/UI. Your clients will be lost in the complexity of Gutenberg. You can see people had been moaning about it for years over here: [https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/gutenberg/reviews/?filter=1](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/gutenberg/reviews/?filter=1)
