I recently redesigned a website for a company. But every time I search for the website on Google (using Incoginito), the author page shows up instead of let’s say the home page. I have switched the setting of all blogs from “published” to “draft” and they no longer show up. But I don’t know how to de-index the author page itself. I have been trying to do this for about an hour with no success. Can someone help.
Also btw I’m using Yoast SEO.

SEO plugins like Yoast have a feature where you can set individual pages to not show up in Google.
Yoast->Settings-> Advanced->Author Archives. Disable them. Since it seems you haven’t looked in any of the settings yet for Yoast, I’d suggest you take this time to go through them all and disable anything else you don’t want.
