I am trying to create a small business website but I am having trouble making it work and make it look good. I only need a very simple website, something a WordPress pro could probably make in an hour. Is there a way I can pay someone to make my WordPress website? I use Hostinger so would I have to give them my Hostinger password? Also about how much would this cost? Thank you for any information!

Hey, I had a lot of clients who were looking for a WordPress website so yeah, you can pay someone. About the hostinger, it would be the best if you provide a login information, not sure if there is another way.
About the ‘one hour’ timeline…It will take a little bit more than one hour. Unless you don’t need something too professional.

An hour is not practical, even for someone very experienced. Think 4 hours as an absolute minimum for a single-pager.
I design, build and maintain WordPress websites for a living amongst other things so I suppose I could be called a WordPress pro, and I’ll be honest with you – a potential client saying “something a WordPress pro could probably make in an hour” is an instant red flag for me because it both demonstrates that you have no idea of the complexity involved in building and testing a website that is going to look professional and be an asset to your company, and that you’ve already decided that you don’t want to pay a reasonable amount for the work you want doing.

Since you said you are having trouble making it work, it sounds like you were at least able to get a base install of WordPress set up.
For any competent WP developer, you could just do a fresh basic WP install (make sure you don’t use default “admin” username and default “wp-” prefix, change those), and then hand off the main login for WP to the developer.
Keep in mind, there is a trust issue. Make sure you ***specify to them*** that they do NOT use any nulled themes/plugins. These usually contain backdoors/hack scripts.
Pls never estimate time for something you dont know much about. It is not a problem to not understand everything, but dont make bold assumptions about work load.

It takes me, for any site, more then one hour just to install and setup all necessary plugins. And I would consider myself as a professional.
If you want your site look professional, you need time and also money.
Still, your best bet should be fiverr i guess

How much it will cost totally depends on what would be your wants/needs regarding the site… with that little information you are giving it’s simply impossible to give an estimate…

Why do you need someone when you think it’ll only take an hour?
When you do find someone, set them up with ftp access only specifically just for this project.
And, really, if you don’t trust them, don’t work with them.
In just emails back and forth will take an hour. And then emails about launching it will be another 30 to 45. So in just corespondence, you’re at 2 hours basically.

There’s so many variables involved with websites. To get an accurate cost for it you’ll need to outline the amount of pages needed and content for each as a baseline. I’m sure someone will be able to make it look good for you but don’t underestimate the time it will take someone to do if you don’t know much about it yourself.
