How to make a follow to download button?

I would like to have a button on a post that after being pressed reveals a download link. The purpose of this is to have users press a “follow me to unlock” button which links to a social media account and then when they go back to my website post the download link is there. I cant find a plugin that would make this work or give some sort of advanced buttons to do this. Any help is appreciated!
