Hi @barryrichardson !
I tested the Buttons Block with adding rel="nofollow"
to two buttons, using the ‘Code Editor’ view, and my Blocks continued to work in the front end view as well as in the Editor, after adding this.
See here: https://d.pr/i/ivEygW
My test was done in WordPress version 6.6, with Gutenberg Version 19.1.0 active, and using the theme, Twenty Twenty Four.
Can you share if you’ve tested this with a default theme active, and with all other plugins on the site deactivated ?
Also, you mentioned the ‘Dual Buttons’ Block ? To ensure that you’re aren’t referencing a Block from a plugin, can you confirm if you’re using the Block outlined in the link below ?
Lastly, and just in case, for editing or inserting HTML in the Block Editor, the Code Editor is accessible via ‘More Options’ as explained below.

Thank you for your response. I just noticed that the Dual Button block is actually in the Essential Blocks collection so I apologise for the confusion. I have sent a message to Essential Blocks support who can hopefully provide a solution.
No worries @barryrichardson !
Thank you for the update!
