We do not and will never have “login with (insert facebook, twitter, whatever else here”.
For years we didn’t require accounts to log in for commenting. We are changing that.
While login in to an account will not be required to comment…if you are not logged in then your comment will go to moderation.
The reason why we want to give the option to login to an account on the site without involving social media accounts is to have trusted users that their comments will be published without going through the moderation system. Obviously we would manually select trusted users.
So three things we want to do:
1. Turn on user registration – that is easy to do
2. Trusted users – how do we tell WordPress to not put these specific group of users through the moderation cue. Obviously only through moderation if certain words are part of the comment(s).
3. All non-logged in comments through moderation.
