How to shorten the URL of products on my website to domain.com/product

[ad_1]

Hello everyone!

I really need your help with a change that may seem simple, but so far I haven’t been able to find a solution.

I own an e-commerce store selling cosmetics in Brazil, and recently I hired an SEO team to improve my website’s ranking and sales. Although I’m not formally trained in this area, I’ve learned enough to create and manage my website on my own. However, the team has asked me to make a change that is beyond my knowledge, and my research hasn’t been fruitful.

Currently, the products on my website are listed as: www.domain.com.br/product/productname

I would like all of them to be listed as: www.domain.com.br/productname

I’d like the “/product/” to disappear, shortening the link and making it more direct.

According to the team, this change would offer advantages for SEO. My website uses Woocommerce along with an external inventory management system.

Can anyone help me out?

  1. Jist go to wordpress dashboard, then find Settings and there you habe permalinks.

You can change what ever you need there.

  2. You can also use something like rankmath for the url structure. And set a redirect for the old url.
