Greetings, to further explain: I know *what* to do, either put the html or the string in the header, but i do not know *how.* I’ve searched on other posts and they say to go to Apperance>Editor, however I ‘m not sure where to click or what to do, it seems like a normal edit page. Could someone help me about this? (also since I’m currently using the free program of payment can’t use plugins)

Head over to your wordpress theme editor. There you will see header.php file click open the file. Go to head section and place the meta tag you will get for verification from Google search Console.
Start google search console and add prefix URL. Then verify with meta tag html and copy the meta tag for GSC paste it in header file in the head section of WordPress theme file editor.
You’re going to want to google basic stuff like this.
