Your listed features are not dependent on the htaccess file.
We highly recommended you to 6G firewall rules instead of 5G legacy firewall rules. The 6G firewall rules are not dependent on htaccess.
You can enable the 6G firewall rules from Admin dashboard > WP Security > Firewall > 6G Blacklist Firewall Rules.
