So I logged into a client’s website to do some work as requested by them. I decided to update the plugins and now I’m getting an HTTP ERROR 500.
I can’t even log into the wp admin page. I do have have to the godaddy account but have no clue where to go in order to fix this issue.

Reset the site from the godaddy backups, it’s probably a plug in conflict. Fairly common.
Godaddy should have server error logs for you to look at, and the error should show in the current error log. If that doesn’t help, you can use the file browser interface to move the plugins in /wp-content/plugins to another location temporarily, and see if that allows you to access the site.
Ftp or file management and rename your plugins folder. Then added them back in to the new folder one by one.
Enable debugging so you can see the error message: [https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#wp_debug]) – there’s no need to disable/rename/move the plugin folder.
Do you have Elementor installed? I experienced the same thing recently. There is some bypass/temporary code fix you can add until Elementor fix it (my Dev applied and now all good).
Before update anything into site WordPress using updraftplus to backup the site and if the broken after update with updraftplus you can restore the site.
