I desperately need help implementing SSL

[ad_1]

I have my webhosting through GoDaddy (it costs $120/year for a SSL cert through godaddy) and have used the plugin named SSLZen in the past to get the 90 day certificates for free since it utilized Let’s Encrypt under the hood, but its not working anymore (it brought down my site and I had to set it back up again but its not back to where it should be, but thats for another time). I tried using the plugin named Really Simple SSL and went through all the steps for that and now my site is inaccessable to me. Firefox is trying to force https no matter what and I cannot access the wordpress dashboard login page anymore.

I should have saved a backup to my laptop before doing this, but I backed up via updraftplus. I believe that backup sits on the server somewhere.

I try pulling up my website via [example.com/wp-login.php](http://example.com/wp-login.php) and I get:

# Secure Connection Failed
