I dove in without testing the water and now need a lifeguard.

Yeah so it turns out sitting down to start building my WordPress site on my own just meant tinkering for 6 hours with a landing page, studying a million links trying to understand how the internet and hosting actually works and wishing I had the money to hire out for this.

So here’s my situation.

LLC formed, waiting on an EIN so I can open the account, priced out CRM software, virtual phone, assembled first round target list, establishing referral relationships, Purchased and set up a Google Workspace and domain (which looks like any minute will be transferred to squarespace who purchased it from Google.) and now need a functioning simple one page website with contact page that will forward to my Google Workspace email.

I thought I did the right thing connecting the domain I already owned to my WordPress site, but I get this error when I try to “visit site”.

DNS\_PROBE\_FINISHED\_NXDOMAIN

Obviously, I don’t know what I’m doing. I have scoured YouTube and the internet for fixes that don’t seem to work for me. WordPress says my domain isn’t eligible to integrate with Google Workspace as well ???? Not sure why that is either.

Hoping someone can hand hold me through this and explain the process to me. Do I need to transfer my domain to WordPress? Will I still then have to pay google monthly?

I read the sidebar, I hope this post isnt breaking any rules. If it is let me know I will repost elsewhere.

Ill be forever in your debt, maybe I’ll mail you a giftcard for a drink on me or something.

Help a moron out.
