I feel crippled

For years, I have been using a theme with a custom page builder; I have had a lot of success and built some very nice websites.
So thinking the grass is greener on the other side, I bought one of the leading themes that uses Elementor.
I feel so lost , so confused , I can’t figure out anything, I can’t believe I can’t figure out a simple thing.
It is like I am brand new to WordPress and being older, I just want to Throw in the towel. I guess back to school for me.
