I have a very basic WordPress site with the basics on my freelance services, what are some improvemenets I could make?

I have text and images up. My biggest issue is that it looks amateur and it’s not easy to get stuff to line up or look pretty.

I don’t need a fancy site, but I’d like to make adjustments to what I already have.

What do you all suggest?
