I never used API REST for WordPress before but soon I may need it.
I’m writing a script that needs to check if a specific post title already exist in the database. If it does, it should check the next title, if it doersn’t, it should post that title along with descriptions and other info.
Since my site is pretty large (multiple k of posts) I guess I need a custom endpoint in my API that only show the title without any other info, right? This for check if the title already exist in the database. But once this is done, can I use the same API endpoint to post contents in fields that doesn’t appear there? For example content, tag, etc? Or in order to do this, I need to create 2 custom endpoint, one for checking if the title exist and one for posting, the latter that needs to shows all the fields where I post content?
