So Im using astra with elementor, I also installed a template to help me with building my website.
It’s a blog, I’ve already figured out how to get recent blog posts/articles to appear on the homepage, but sometimes I’d like to just post an update, a short message or commentary, a musing if you will, not a full fledged article.
How do I get this kind of thing to appear on my homepage as a “message of the day” sort of thing?
Also, one of my pages is dedicated to a podcast, the basic template I’m using doesnt have the features for a podcast page, how do I go about just building a page for podcast episode posts?

I’m a novice at this but I do have two sites — mine and my club’s. On my site — [GreenshirtModeler.Blog]) — I show my latest blog post with a menu. To do what you want I’d add another window for something like “daily updates” and use categories as a way to filter on whether a post is lengthy for the blog, or just a short update. There is likely a plug-in that specifically does this but for efficiency if you can do it using the blog database it might be better.
For the podcast page you could also do a category for podcast and put it on the menu so that when someone selects it the page displays all posts from the podcast category. I know that could work because I tried it out as I want subsections of my blog to be on specific topics — not yet live because I have other things I need to make better first, like catching up on all the drafts I need to complete.
For daiyl messages use ACF with Elementor. For podcast could also work ACF, don’t inow what exact fields are you looking for?
I achieved that with a Twitter feed. Can you say it in 280 characters?
