I use themify simple and new widgets are dumb

Basically I have a website using the themify simple theme and now there is a sidebar to the right, navigation on the bottom, and a stupid date on the top. anyway to remove these? I tried the [***Widget Disable*** **plugin**]) and it only got rid of the sidebar but my text is still compressed to the left.
