Greetings wordpressers,
I currently have a blog on wordpress [(here)]) which is the format of my current “website” but as you can probably tell, its format is .home.blog but I want to have my own website with a .com which I understand requires me to have a domain. So my questions are these:
Is it better if I just subscribe to WordPress’ plans which offer me all kinds of perks? ;
Is doing that what all big websites with their own domains do? or do those websites get their own domain and like their own providers to manage the site? ;
If I choose not to use wordpress’ plans to have my own .com, how do I switch to my own domain and transfer all the information I already have on my site?
Its been a long due goal for me to have my own .com and I need guidance on it and in addition to that I also need to know if going with wordpress’ plans are better or if I just do it elsewhere perhaps on my own hosting or something? I might be using the terms wrongly but I hope for some general advice. Thank you.
