I have this blog I am working on. The owner already moved the blog from an old host to a new one. But the images in the uploads folder aren’t reflected in the WordPress Media Library. That’s why he needs my help.

I found a plugin called Bulk image register which helped restore some of the images back to the Media Library, but the images are not linking to their already published individual posts as a featured images. And the blog as thousands of blog posts from as far back as 2011, and you know how tedious it would be to start linking the images to the each posts one by one and besides it’s going to make a duplicate image, since the images are actually on the server, it’s just that it isn’t reflected in the Media Library.

Please, how do I go about restoring the images properly from the uploads folder to reflect in the Media Library and also make the Media Library recognize the images that’s has been used as a featured image and link them properly to their individual posts?
