If I use a hosting site & WP .org, can I do it on my phone?

I don’t have a business. I have a project & a national media source is doing a feature piece on it soon. The story won’t be long enough to cover all of the facts & details. I have written them out, in short chapters. I need a site that can be put in the article so that the reader can learn more about it. I’m creating a Go Fund Me, & want to have people be able to contact me directly on the site but I can just put an email address, if necessary. Later, I might have to upload documents & photos but I can also link them to a Dropbox or something. A news station did a segment on it but I can just put the link and I’ll be doing several podcasts as soon as it’s published that I would like to link to it, also.

What I’ve been quoted, just to create the site, is astronomical, when the site is not for monetary or traffic-generating purposes.

Here’s the problem:
I don’t use computers. When I was getting my degree, I was a single mom, working 2, sometimes 3, jobs. I did a lot of my school work during my downtime at my main job. My boss was really cool but I didn’t want to blatantly haul in my laptop so I ended up writing my entire lit review on an app. After two years, I was entirely dependent on my phone.
People are always commenting on how fast I text. I have worked for almost 10 years, doing a lot of legal stuff, mostly an office position job, all using my phone and wireless printer. It would take me 3-4 times as long to do anything on a computer! I had a WP .com blog on my iPad years ago and was able to use it easily. When I tried to do it on my computer, I could not. I’m not tech savvy.

Any suggestions would be great!
