Hey everyone,
I’m considering implementing WordPress multisite to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard. I’ve done some initial research and found a few options, but I’m curious to hear what the experts think.
**My needs:**
* Manage around 5 websites with similar features.
* Save time and effort on administration.
* Scalability to add more websites in the future.
* Ease of use, as I don’t have extensive technical expertise.
**Options I’ve found:**
* **Native WordPress multisite:** The free, default WordPress option.
* **Multisite management plugins:** Like **Modulards**,MainWP or InfiniteWP which offer additional features.
* **Multisite hosting:** Some hosting providers offer specific plans for WordPress multisite, simplifying setup and management.
Appreciate any help in advance! Looking forward to having a great discussion about this.

Do not use multisite to manage different/unique/unrelated websites – it isn’t built for that. Use a management tool like the ones you listed. I use ManageWP to manage my sites – it’s great.
Multisite is great for things like niche services where you’re churning out tons of sites for like multiple locations for a franchise or something like that. Not great for multiple unique sites where you’re just looking to have everything in one place
If they are all the same business, like 5 car washes or 5 vacation properties, go for it. That’s what it was built for.
We use multisite for translations and it is sometimes a pain, as sometimes plugins don’t work well with multisite. If I had 5 sites I’d just have 5 WP installs.
Remember that a multisite and all its subsites share one file folder and one database. If you plan on having a lot of posts, pages and images in your websites, it can get very heavy if you have a limited amount of space on your server.
