I’m on the lookout for a plugin which gives you complete control over block images. My wish list:
– Art direction with <picture>
– Retina support with srcset
– Ability to define new image size at block level for desktop, tablet and mobile
– WebP conversion
I usually achieve the above with ACF blocks, but I want something that’s easy to maintain for brochure sites.
I’m currently using GenerateBlocks, but this gives you little control over image sizing and optimisation when setting a background image.
