Import posts containing iFrames

[ad_1]

Hello! I have the following setup:

Site A: a regular WordPress site with multiple posts containing iframes to YouTube videos/podcasts.

Site B: a multisite.

I am trying to export the posts with iframes from a site A and re-export them to site B. The exported XML file still contains iframes—however, after re-exporting through native WordPress Importer, the posts are being stripped of iframes. I understand it's a security concern, and as a developer, I understand why it happens. Problem? We have over 1000s posts containing these iframes and we cannot lose content.

Anyone has a clue how to approach the issue? I am comfortable with SQL, so if going through the database instead of WP dashboard is advised, I am comfortable.

My idea was to pull the database rows with posts that contain iframes (they all belong to one category, so it's not hard to catch them)—and then insert these rows into the database. Perhaps if the posts get into the site through server, instead of WP, we will not lose content…

I am only worried about the posts overwriting themselves and losing foreign keys.
