Lets say I have post type “law firm”.
And I would like to create dynamic pages that show a list of law firms by State or by Town.
One way I could do this is to create a taxonomy “Area” and manually input States and Towns. And then to create archive templates for this taxonomy so that for each state of town you can see a list of firms that have that taxonomy term.
But what if I want this to happen automatically from map data.
Ideally I would simply want to enter the physical address of each law firm, and then it automatically assigns the the appropriate State and Town.. And then for there to be dynamic pages that shows all firms for each State and Town.
How would one approach this?
(For context, I’m going to be hiring a developer to do this, but I like to have a general sense of how something could work, and whether it is even possible, before I hire someone to do something).
