Intermittent, frequent, short downtimes on wordpress site

[ad_1]

hey looking for some guidance

I used a clunky, slow theme for the first iteration of my site so I copied my site to staging and switched to a leaner one (Neve Pro). Everything looked good so I did the swap to production and since now I get tons of alerts for the site being down(Uptime Robot), usually only a couple of minutes.

I did not get these alerts before the change and I do experience the issue personally at times when i visit the site. The site is now much more speedy when it does actually load now though.

It’s not a resources issue as it only gets around 50 visits per day and resource usage is low.

I only have 6 plugins running and one of them is Query Monitor which was suggested when i did research on the issue. (although I’m having issues figuring out how i should use that for this issue)

Any suggestions on what to check or how to troubleshoot?

thank you!

  1. This sounds like a hosting issue. I’d check with your host. This doesn’t necessarily have to do with WordPress.
