IP & Widget issue

[ad_1]

Hi. I’ve starting managing a new website on my new job and I’ve enco two issues where I need some help:

1. I can’t log in as an admin with our work computer without changing the IP but the website works perfectly as a visitor.

2. A programmer added a counter widget but it stops at a certain number so the data (visitors, assets managed, registered investors, sarisfied clients) is not being updated as these numbers go up. They are stucked at a certain figure and it won’t go past that.

Any idea what the issue might be?

  1. For the admin login issue, try the quick fixes first (clear cache/cookies, use a different browser, double-check login info, etc). Sounds like you might need to escalate this to your IT or hosting provider though.

The hosting provider or a CDN might block your IP, in which case you’ll need to get it whitelisted. There might also be security plugins or firewall rules that haven’t been updated to provide you access.

Definitely contact the programmer about the counter widget problems and get them to check the code for any limits or thresholds. Could also be due to a caching plugin or CDN serving stale data, pulling from the wrong data source, or not refreshing properly.
