Hello,
I have a company website + blog part that runs on WordPress with Astra Version 3.6.7.
We didn’t renewed the Astra licence as we had 3 times bugs after updates and multiple caching issues between mobile and desktop.
So the experience was not so good overall.
What’s the best move ?
– Give another chance to Astra and update to last version (maybe with a clean install)
– Switch to Kadence ?
– Switch to Generate Press ?
– Stop wordpress and move to another ecosystem ?
We just want a running website and focus on marketing.
Astra is good for ready made templates they offer with starter packs for the quick website setup. But since you are already using Astra for company site, I think you can go with Astra and solve the issues with caching (they might occur with other themes as well as it needs server level settings and extensions installation).
So I think if you have happy with the Astra design, then you can try solving the problems you have with caching with other WordPress plugins and optimize it further. For theme related issues, you can get support from Astra team I think.

I’d pick GeneratePress. Is more integrated and easy going.
WordPress is the best out there for the blog. You can move your company website somewhere else if you want.
Kadence is great if you want a simpler templated version. Bricks is amazing if you want more control over the design and functionality.
Really you are blaming Astra for your problems ? Astra is pretty much in the top 4 WordPress plugins with millions of purchases.
You are going to have cashing problems with any theme you are using, caching problems are not Star pro related. If you think Astra caused you issues, you will severely disappointed in other themes. I all leave it at that
Kadence and GeneratePress both are great options if you are looking for an alternative.
In a world where (free) twenty twenty four theme exist. No other theme can be a good pick.
The bugs you suffered were Astra experience. Not WordPress experience. If you want to unleash the power of WordPress, install a block base theme like 2024.
Astra is so caveman era theme.
