is consent mode v2 mandatory if google tag manager already fires only when a user consents? And is there a way I can properly track conversions if gtag fires only when a user accepts the cookies?

I am using the free version of complianz for my wordpress site, consent v2 is only for premium. Before considering on purchasing it, would I even be needing it in my case?

It’s a simple ecommerce store in a country from the European Union and I am already having trouble to accurately track conversions with consent since only after they accept gtag fires, is there anything I can do to give more accuracy or is this my only option? I only care about dynamic remarketing, conversions and conversion value. I understand the part about remarketing, but at least if there could be a solution only for conversions, those would make things much better.

Despite all of that, Google is still giving me “Ads personalisation consent signals not detected”. Would just buying a premium cookie plugin fix such issues automatically? I hope I just don’t wake up with my google ads suspended for that.
