Hi, everybody.
Every time I try Elementor I feel like this tool forces me to reinvent a wheel, I get different result than I expected and that I can’t control how specific elements look or behave. I feel that Elementor only pretends to be natural way of building theme, but it’s quite opposite. For me it seems this tool is used mostly by people who are not familiar with CSS/HTML/JS. Maybe I’m wrong…
My questions:
1. Is Elementor really so useful (as many “experts” say) for a person with decent CSS/HTML/etc. knowlegde?
2. Is it worth on getting used to Elementor instead of CSS, If i want to still get better in CSS/JSS/etc.. and build also non-WP sites too?
3. I have to make a lot of theme adjustments in a Woo store site which was built by other person using Elementor Pro (still active) and Astra theme. Will I be able to manage this theme using Regular Elementor and all of the features will remain the same or will it stop working properly at first touch?
4. In the past I heard many times that Elementor works best with Hello theme. Is it still true?
I’ve been using WordPress to build simple websites for a \~10 years. I always choose one of few well designed and supported theme that basically suits the most for expected layout and other possible features. I modify child theme using html/css/php/js/snippets/plugins and “reverse engineering”. I like to have control over sizes, behaviour or exact appearance of elements. it’s not the quickest and easiest way (probably because I’m not an expert) and sometimes i can’t find sollution to do something.
