I’m thinking of charging my customers for using my WordPress plugins and themes which are premium. I always thought we were allowed to sell etc cos of GNU licensing. I use Kadence theme a lot but on their website pricing, the FAQ says…
*You can create as many sites as you like and even use your license for client’s sites where you are building, developing, and managing a website for someone else.*
*Please note that* ***this does not include any kind of hosting or reselling***\*. Managing a website for your client means you edit pages and posts on behalf of your client and for all intents and purposes you are the website admin. Setting up a website by only installing and activating Kadence for someone is not allowed as well as all other forms of sharing the license key with any third party is not allowed.\*
Does this mean I can’t resell it as a subscription to my clients even though its GNU since I won’t be editing after build or anything of that sort?
