Is it better to use a Google Review plugin? Or should I write custom code for this?

I have a very customized review look and feel that my client wants to create as part of a reviews page on his website. Right now I'm using theme x pro which lets me loop through data to display on the front end as long as it is stored as a post. But I'm wondering what the best way to import this data is? Is there a plugin that would add reviews to my WordPress site in the form of posts (albeit under a post category – let's call it "reviews"). I basically want to import reviews via the google review api without having to add them one by one myself and I don't want to sacrifice the look and feel my client is wanting.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Not sure where u located but in Germany (I think this applies to the whole EU as well) you would need to hide/block the google reviews until the viewer accepted all cookies. I’d probably would select a few reviews from google, paste them into the site w/o any code or plugin and maybe connect em with a link..
