Hi all – I’ve been using PhotoShelter for over a decade to host and sell photos, but after testing its competitors, I decided that the Salient theme with NextGen Pro would be the best solution for me.
I’m still using the free version of NextGen while I set up the album and gallery structure and start uploading some of my recent work (and build my site) before subscribing to Pro.
I’ve found that it’s very very slow to upload photos – my upload speed is around 150MB, and the images are around 9MB – 12MB in size, but then random photos fail to upload, with no log I can find of which ones, so there’s no easy way to find out which images are missing.
I’ve tried uploading a few files at a time, but a few photos still fail to upload; my host is Dreamhost, and I’ve used them for 19 years, including for Joomla photography sites.
I’ve raised a ticket, but I’ve not heard back, and I’m concerned about this issue and wondering if there are other bugs too I should anticipate?
