Is the Softaculous backup option via CPanel enough to ensure my WP sites are “fully” backed up?

[ad_1]

I have an old Namecheap hosting account that does not do automatic backup. The new Namecheap hosting packages do it, but I don’t want to go through the hassle of “transferring” 10 websites to a new hosting package because it sounds tedious and beyond my knowledge level.

I’ve been doing the once-per-week Softaculous backups for my sites. They are tar.gz files, with some of them being quite large (biggest is 9 gigs). Is this a “full” backup of my individual WP sites so if something goes wrong or I want to move to another host, this is all I need? And does anyone know a way to automatically store them on the cloud instead of the Namecheap server, so I can do once per day backups instead? Sorry I’m not tech savvy…just a writer!
