I work with several real estate clients who use a the Chime website platform with a great CRM but it’s notoriously horrible for organic traffic. Pages won’t index, if they do, they don’t stay that way (I could go on).
Someone in a forum for Chime discussed the idea of creating a separate WP site for blog and LPs to have a greater opportunity to organically rank. Then use the Search bar widget in WP to utilize the MLS search, listings, etc from Chime.
On the surface, I felt like this would be a great workaround to get my clients to rank while using the main features Chime is good for. This person hadn’t researched this so wasn’t sure if it could be pulled off.
If this worked, these clients could get more visibility organically without an expensive move to another platform their brokerage didn’t subsidize. And it would also make the work I’ve been doing for them show some actual results.
Has anyone run into this scenario and/or have thoughts on the success of this route?
TIA

This is very common. Simply setup a WP instance as a subdomain eg “blog.xxxxxx.com” (or a subfolder, but if you’re using a third party platform that generally isn’t possible)
