The types of articles I write involve recording a lot of debates and possible arguments and counter-arguments, so I thought a thread-like item would be convenient to have in the post itself.
For example, I may write about ABC, then say:
Group A said ABC means 123 because reason X.
Group B disagreed with reason X with argument Y and argument Z.
Group A responded to argument Y like this and argument Z like that.
As you can see, it can get confusing when it is in plain text, which is why having it in a thread format (like reddit comments) might make it much easier for the reader to understand.
