Is there a way to restrict content based on anything other than username or role?

[ad_1]

Hi everyone,

I’m building a WordPress website for a group of horseback riding clubs. Each club has a secretary who will be logging into the backend of the website in order to add and update showbill forms for each club’s horse show. Each club secretary should only have access to create and edit forms for their own clubs. I haven’t been able to find a forms plugin that allows content restriction by anything other than a specific user, or a user role. I need to be able to restrict content based on which club the secretary belongs to. And for context, I’m not at all comfortable with code yet; only using plugins at this point.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I will be forever grateful. Thank you 🙂

  1. That would require some custom development. Try reaching out to the developer of the membership plugin that you’re using to see if they can point you in the right direction.

  2. User role editor pro allows you to restrict back end access to specific posts/pages. https://www.role-editor.com/ at 29/year for single site, this is 100% gonna be easier to support long term over a custom coded solution, as well as be considerably less expensive to implement.
