The standard filter and search options in WordPress are terrible. Themes are a jungle and it takes days to find a suitable one for each project. I would like to search for templates based on:
– colours fully editable
– has light / dark mode switch
– allows show / hide of author, date, tags, etc.
– is responsive
– does not show duplicate posts (eg. in a carousel above and then a post list below it)
– logo layout and size editable
– header layout and size editable
– requires plugins or runs stand alone
– cleans up correctly when uninstalling
– requires other template / master / parent template
I also want to know if above features are present in the free version or paid version, if any.
Is there any search enige or theme website that offers this?

Themes? Just choose a good quality minimal theme and it should serve you well for almost any site.
GeneratePress, Kadence, and Astra are worth checking out.
You should focus on figuring out some kind of boilerplate/starter theme or something similar that you use for most or all of your sites.
The process you’re going through each time right now is simply too hard and opens the door to many issues that come with using themes you don’t know much about.
If you’re building many sites you need a solid starting point that you can take many different directions, and that will help you streamline your process and make you more efficient.
