I have a video website where I post videos of a certain type.
The thing: I am very dependent on people sharing these videos with me.
My site is built as follows:
1. I use the theme "JNews".
All videos are stored on an external cloud storage. I have set up a Nextcloud on a subdomain and have my cloud storage embedded via webdav (ftp/sftp would also be a possibility). Now I can generate a direct link to the video in Nextcloud and embed it into my wordpress site (I know that's pretry hideous, but I'm not in knowledge of a simpler method).
I do not use the default Jnews Player, but rather a third party plugin (just looks nicer).
The way people can send videos currently works as follows:
There is a simple form on the site where they can enter all information, including a download link to the video.
I than download the video and reupload to my cloud and than do the procedure mentioned above.
Now, is there any way to automate this?
JNews has an option for people to directly submit videos, but these would be stored directly on my websites webserver, which doesn't have enough space (hence the external cloud).
Any options?
