Is there any way to create a mobile friendly version for free?

Hello, I have not been able to see anything on creating a mobile friendly wordpress.com site version for free. (Free plan, no plug-in.) I don’t have the budget to invest any money right now. The text appears skewed on mobile. I would really appreciate any advice.

  1. When you build your website with Elementor (the free version) in WordPress, it will be mobile friendly from the beginning.

  2. Elementor is free – the pro version is a cost. If the site isn’t built with elementor this wouldn’t work unless you redesign the pages.

If it’s not mobile frendly now, you will jave to apply custom mobile css to get it responsive or mobile…

I would lean more to a redesign since it sounds like the design might be old if that is the case…

  3. Look at the pinned comment in the subreddit about the differences between the .com version and the .org version.

If you insist on using the .com version of WordPress (which is severely limited in what you can do unless you pay for the varying plans) then you’re not going to be able to do whatever you want without paying for the privilege.

You don’t appear to really have much on the site, so you should consider just buying your own domain name, setting up some hosting and installing WordPress on the server yourself. There’s no plans you need to buy to be able to install plugins etc… You’re free to do whatever you want. Obviously paid plugins/themes still exist, which you will need to pay for, but there’s thousands of free plugins that can do what you need.
