Yes, this plugin is still maintained. I bumped the WordPress version inside the plugin. I did not bump the plugin version because I did not want to trigger plugin update because there was no new functionality added.
So you probably need to delete and re-install the plugin if Wordfence is checking your installed version. Hope this explanation is not too complicated. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
