Is this the best way to do this? (Switching hosts and builders)

I am looking to switch my host from Westhost to WPengine AND switch from Avada to a Gutenberg based theme.

My thinking is to replicate the site at WPengine, and use it as a staging site.

Once I have everything set up the way I want it, redirect the DNS.

Is this as easy as it sounds, or am I missing something?

Also. Any tips?
