I am creating a site that is like [ExRx.net](http://ExRx.net) which is an information website for athletes and sports and conditioning students/coaches. I want all the info in one place about everything from rehab exercises to sports science to workout programs.
More or less it is kind of just modernizing that website as ExRx has all the info I will need but it is just not a nice website to use in my opinion. I don’t plan on making it public it’s more so just for me, my family and friends. There will be no payments or login or anything like that. It will be just an information page but obviously there will be thousands of exercises, drills etc that I will add over the course of months/years. These will have photos/videos to help guide you through the workout/drill/exercise so there will be a lot of content by the end.
I was just wondering if WordPress is the right site to use to build it, I started using Wix and its great. Very easy to use and customize but it only allows up to 100 static pages which I think ill use up very quickly. I don’t think there is anything too complex I will be adding its just a very content heavy website.
Thanks in advance.

WordPress would be great for content heavy site. You can create as many pages and posts as you needed.
Yes, WordPress is a content management system. It manages content.
If it’s just for you and your family and you don’t care about bells and whistles, create a free plan on WordPress.com and see how you like it.
I would recommend wordpress as it is diversed, easily customizable and you can create thousands of pages and still manage and update each page much easily and faster.
You can also add your codes to get the exact website you envisioned
